Web Manager. Retail, Noord-Holland.

As Web Manager, you are a vital team member within the Digital Transition of our client. In this role, you will work closely with all departments to ensure the Web Team works effectively for all aspects of the company. You will develop strategies to drive online traffic to the company website and ensure alignment of commercial wishes versus technical development.

Our client, a successful retail chain, is looking for a Web Manager responsible for the online exposure to stimulate offline sales. You will ensure commercial translation of technical web development, uplifting the online look with a focus on strong content and clear overview of assortment, making it as highly user-friendly.

Digital is first on the 2018 agenda of this fast-growing retailer. In collaboration with SQIQ, we are building a team. By investing in Digital growth our client plans to stimulate even more sales in their stores throughout Europe. Job responsibilities

As Web Manager, you are a vital team member within the Digital Transition of our client. In this role, you will work closely with all departments to ensure the Web Team works effectively for all aspects of the company. You will develop strategies to drive online traffic to the company website and ensure alignment of commercial wishes versus technical development.

In addition, you are responsible for:

  • The ongoing development and maintenance of the company’s website, ensuring the continuous value of the online platform
  • Managing the Web team, including the Product Owner, Content Manager, Product Content Editors, Web Content Specialists, UX Designer, Web Analyst, Sr. SEO Specialist and Jr. SEO Specialist.
  • Developing and executing annual continues development planning translated into 24 two-week sprints, ensuring the best and an up to date web presence
  • Clear communication of the vision with all those involved in the Web team, including the Head of Digital and the Program Manager
  • Connecting to relevant networks, managing agencies and service provider deliverables
  • Connect business and ICT to ensure uniformity, accuracy, consistency and accountability of master data assets
  • Implement changes through sprint and scrum techniques ensuring fast improvement based on recent tests and data
  • Connecting to PIM (Product Information Management) in such a way that visitors can engage (like, add to wishlist) with (complete) assortment
  • Through excellent PIM set up continuously track product lifecycle for up to date offering of changing assortment via different media
  • Ensuring best set up of MDM (Master Data Management) to compromise processes, governance, policies, standards, and tools to consistently define and manage critical data throughout a single point of reference
  • Through MDM provide processes for collecting, aggregating, matching, consolidating, quality-assuring, persisting and distributing to ensure consistency and control in ongoing maintenance and application of information
  • Developing and optimizing new functions, modules, content and UX, usability. Making improvements to the website to increase performance
  • Optimizing traffic and search engine activities, owning the internal search engine, analyzing searches on the website and improving search possibilities
  • Manage the implementation, tracking measurement and reporting of key website metrics and optimization advice
  • Creating smart business rules: products to be at the top of the website on specific occasions (f.e. Christmas) and for specific audiences (f.e. age, demographic)
  • Online category management, monitoring of performance of product categories, keeping up to date the assortment regarding product placement, navigation, and banners
  • Stimulating cross-sell of product within different categories
  • Creating state-of-the-art customer journeys
  • Derive new insights through A/B testing for conversion optimization
  • Financial planning within department budget for investment in development, hiring personnel, agencies and service providers

Requirements

  • Minimal 5 years experience as a Web Manager in an omnichannel retail operation or at a pure player
  • Previous Web Manager experience managing projects and delivering web content, both from business as the technical side of view (front end, back end, design, CMS, PIM)
  • Proven experience in leading the continuous delivery of web developments and launches
  • Minimal high school (HBO), WO intellectual capabilities
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Strong project management skills, well-known with agile way of working
  • Tech Savy, passion for digital, leadership
