SEO Specialist. Retail, Noord-Holland. *VERVULD*

Our client, a successful commercial chain, is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist responsible for the strategy, communication and the creation of all search engine optimization activities. Your end goal is to increase our client’s online traffic by implementing the right keywords strategy, complete website audits and creative, buzz generating campaigns from brief to post-launch.

Our client, a successful retail chain, is looking for an SEO Specialist responsible for the strategy, communication and the creation of all search engine optimization activities. Your end goal is to increase our client’s online traffic by implementing the right keywords strategy, complete website audits and creative, buzz-generating campaigns from brief to post-launch.

Digital is first on the 2018 agenda of this fast-growing retailer. In collaboration with SQIQ, we are building a team. By investing in Digital growth our client plans to stimulate even more sales in their stores throughout Europe. Their offline/online marketing spent will switch from 80/20 now to 50/50 in 2020, and now is the starting point! Do you want to build big, and make impact? Job responsibilities

As SEO Specialist you will be a vital team member within the Digital Transition of our client. You will write coherent, compelling copy that is not only keyword-rich but also user-friendly and identify current problems and opportunities, with a focus on crawlability, site architecture, and site content.

In addition, you will:

  • Set SEO operational goals in line with our client’s Digital Transition
  • Frame technical SEO within a larger understanding of the digital marketing strategy
  • Generate new test ideas and both solve problems as create innovative new content
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis
  • Provide regular analysis and recommendations for website content and metadata
  • Write advice reports on content, technology, and link-building in support of SEO goals
  • Develop new ideas for testing, and execute those tests
  • Stay up to date on current industry practices, news and algorithm updates
  • Participate in strategic brainstorming sessions and leading the team in the creation and execution of campaigns that drive awareness, build buzz and indicate relevance to the search engines
  • Think in customer and result-oriented solutions
  • Focus on the different countries with responding to the ‘local’ differences between cultures/countries
  • Prepare dashboards and regular reporting for management
  • Coordinate SEO agency resources and activities and assure good cooperation
  • Communicate the vision with all those involved in the Web team
  • Be responsible for training and guiding the Jr. SEO Specialist

Requirements

  • Minimal 3 years of experience as an SEO Specialist in an omni channel retail operation or at a pure player.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and SEO Research Tools and a variety of content management systems
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of industry trends and ranking factors and have hands-on experience executing integrated SEO programs with proven success
  • Minimal high school (HBO), WO intellectual capabilities.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
  • Strong analytical skills
