Digital Marketing Manager. Industry, Amsterdam. *VERVULD*

With a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies, the Digital Marketing Manager is able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. The Digital Marketing Manager will work with the product owners, local commercial teams, supporting teams (such as programmers), and global vendors to launch campaigns on time and on budget.

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to develop a global marketing plan and in parallel implement, track and optimize our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels. This will be the start of something big where you can have a big impact.

The German based international company manages complex supply chains for both chemical manufacturers and consumers by simplifying market access to thousands of products and services. It combines a global network with outstanding local execution. Therefore, our client is the industry’s most effective and preferred channel to the market for partners – really living its philosophy: “Connecting Chemistry”.

Our client operates a global network with more than 550 locations in 74 countries. The company generated sales of EUR 10.5 billion (USD 11.6 billion) in 2016 with its global workforce of about 15,000 employees, They are creating a new international digital platform that will impact their business model. They are doing this with a small digital team, located in Amsterdam.

The position

With a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies, the Digital Marketing Manager is able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. The Digital Marketing Manager will work with the product owners, local commercial teams, supporting teams (such as programmers), and global vendors to launch campaigns on time and on budget.

As Digital Marketing Manager you…

  • Develop a global digital marketing plan for activities in Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia
  • Are part of the digital branding development team
  • Plan and execute all digital marketing after launch, including SEO/SEM, owned media, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Coordinate local initiatives in offline channels to accelerate digital campaigns
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm on new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimizes user experience
  • Utilize your strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Evaluate emerging technologies
  • Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Marketing or a related field
  • You have proven working experience in digital marketing, preferably in a B2B environment
  • You’re a self starter and have a get things done mentality
  • You’re an entrepreneur and are eager to learn
  •  You are not afraid to fail and have strong leadership skills
  • You have demonstrated experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, owned media, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • You’re highly creative and have experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • You have experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • You have experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • You have solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • You have working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
  • You have experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • You have working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • You have strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • You are up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
