Conversion Manager. Retail, Amsterdam.

As a Conversion manager, you are responsible for conversion improvements, the user experience in our customer journey, with emphasis of all our international websites & online touchpoints. You'll manage a small team of specialists, and will work closely together with our scrum-development team, our brand team, agencies and data/web analytics specialists.

We are looking for a Conversion manager to help our client create innovative digital solutions that will redefine the online gifting industry. This organization is a digital merchant with Swedish roots, an international culture, and happy customers around the globe. You will be part of the online team and work in close cooperation with our specialist teams like traffic, ecom customer, content & design. In addition you will also work with our other teams like customer service, product, across offices in NL, SE and UK. The role is based in our Amsterdam (NL)office.

The Tasks and Responsibilities

As a Conversion manager, you are responsible for conversion improvements, the user experience in our customer journey, with emphasis of all our international websites & online touchpoints. You manage a small team of specialists, and work closely together with our scrum-development team, our brand team, agencies and data/web analytics specialists.
Your work includes translating research insights into new concepts, sketching user flows, and crafting interactions that delight our users. You will collaborate directly with other designers, developers to make your products come to life. Together with our conversion optimization team and analysts you will work on proving your changes are actual improvements to our main KPIs. You will deliver a great user experience that ties together user needs, business goals, and the possibilities of technology. You love data, love customer and like to push everything into production well (AB/MVT) tested.

The Candidate

  • 5+ years experience with conversion optimization, user experience or similar
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Marketing, Psychology, Interaction Design or a similar field
  • You love data! You eat webanalytics for breakfast 🙂
  • A solid understanding of user-centred design principles and design thinking
  • Able to set, and run a sound conversion optimization strategy
  • Experienced, certified in Google Analytics or similar, Optimization tools (Optimizly, convert, VWO or similar). Design tools, UX wireframing is a bonus.
  • You can sell a project or improvement
  • Able to create simple and elegant solutions to complex design problems
  • Self-starter approach, know scrum, and can-do mentality that pushes the boundaries
  • A compelling track record that shows your passion for conversion optimization and a high attention to detail
  • You are curious, empathetic and want to learn
  • You are a natural collaborator, able to inspire people around you and lead concept development within the team.

  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. German, Dutch or any Scandinavian language is a nice bonus.
